This grave marker which is at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, located at
179 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey reveals that Giuseppe Sortino served in the U.S. Army during World War I and died at the age of 81.

Giuseppe Sortino was not on the original World War I Honor Roll List, which was in the Bergen Evening Record October 5, 1918, but this confirms his connection to Hackensack by being buried within its borders since passing and forevermore.
